I am delighted and thankful to be announced a winner of the ideastap Top Up fund award. Ideastap.com are an organisation who fund creative projects by young aspiring people. The Top Up fund award gave £500 to ten projects on the theme of Place.
My project, Frozen Erosion, is a collection of site specific improvisations in and around Devil’s Dyke in East Sussex. Some will feature Cello from my ongoing collaborator Timothy Scarlett. The improvisations will be recorded using contact microphones and field recorders to capture and real sense of the environment.
Pictures and sound bytes will follow in the next couple of weeks as the project begins to get under way.
